Vela software acquires software division of catarinense Alkasoft and creates Cartdigi

Vela Software Latam acquired the software division of the Alkasoft notary offices, a company from Santa Catarina present in the market for more than 27 years, developing technological solutions for the segments of law, notary offices and brands. With the acquisition, the Brazilian market gains a new specialized company, Cartdigi, which is already born with expertise in the sector and potential for investments in technological innovation for products and services. Transaction amounts were not disclosed.

The new company, linked to the Brazilian division of Vela Software Group, headquartered in Belo Horizonte – MG – duly registered as a Brazilian legal entity and compliant with all national legal obligations and requirements will be managed by Cicero Triches, one of the founders and partners of Alkasoft, and will maintain all national operations, management, and business rules.

“Our work and service provision will continue to be national”. Our clients will also continue with specialized services for the extrajudicial area. This new phase will bring benefits such as access to an enormous community of software companies, where we will be able to share knowledge and new technologies that will benefit all of our clients”, explains Cicero Triches, Cartdigi manager.

The storage of data carried out by Cartdigi will follow the rules established by the Brazilian legislation, with the hiring of legal entities duly incorporated in Brazil, with data access restriction guaranteed by a Brazilian administrator password. In addition, all the rules established by the Courts of Justice of the States, National Council of Justice (CNJ), and National Exchanges, will continue to be observed, starting with the determinations of Provision No 74 and the LGPD.

The new company remains responsible for the necessary support for all the notary systems of the CART line, which already has four consolidated products for extrajudicial notaries, developed for real estate registration, notary public, civil registration and RTDPJ —Real Estate Registry Office, Notary office, Civil Registry and Registry of Deeds and Documents.

The state of Santa Catarina, where Cartdigi is headquartered, is the 4th largest technology hub in the country in terms of company revenue and it has also had the highest growth in the number of technology companies during the period from 2015 to 2019. The increase was 11.8%, leading the number of technology companies in Santa Catarina to more than 12 thousand.
